A clearer look at the data. Stocks and market data Nasdaq Trader directories supply all non-ETF, non-test Nasdaq and NYSE securities, including share classes, preferred shares, units and warrants. Nasdaq screener supplies country, industry and market cap. The directory refresh is attempted when the app opens; the bundled directory is available if a provider is unavailable.
Quotes and charts come from Yahoo Finance and refresh every 60 seconds for the active card. Exchange delays and provider limits may apply. Each card displays its quote timestamp; saved snapshots are explicitly labeled. No simulated prices or charts are used.
Top 100 crypto CoinGecko provides the top 100 coins by market capitalization, including stablecoins and wrapped assets. Rankings refresh when available; cached rankings retain their original timestamp. Crypto is global, so country filters exclude it unless “Global” is selected.
How beta works Beta = covariance of aligned daily asset and benchmark returns ÷ variance of benchmark returns. We use up to one year of adjusted daily closing prices, with at least 60 paired returns. Stocks use SPY; crypto uses BTC-USD. Low: |β| < 0.8; moderate: 0.8–1.5; high: > 1.5. Negative beta retains its sign. Beta is only one risk measure; stablecoins may have low beta while retaining substantial risks.
Beta is calculated on opening an asset. The filter includes only assets already rated during this session or saved on this device, plus preloaded assets. Missing data stays unrated. Selecting a beta band shows how many assets are rated.
